Peers School closed on the 31st August 2008 and re-opened as The Oxford Academy on 1st September 2008. Our older children are based at Peers. The Oxford Academy is to be rebuilt over the next 2/3 years with Mabel Prichard Upper school having a brand new base. The base will be opened during 2010/2011 when we will be able to offer places to 16-19 year olds.

The school appointed seven new staff in September (mostly Teaching Assistants). The extra staff were needed due to an increase in pupil numbers and some children needing to have 1:1 support throughout the school day
